Darkness & Vikings

"The night is dark and full of terrors"... "in the absence of light darkness prevails"

The dark can be very provocative and stir primal emotions in even the most logic of people. Are darkness and light aspects that are used enough in board games? For me the answer is "no in my collection". Darkness seems underused for me and I'd like to work out why that is?

Vikings are at the other end of the scale, I feel they are used as a theme quite regularly, but often only as an overlay. I love the viking theme and yet I don't feel all games with the theme real capture the feel. I'd love to read your views on this!

Making it easier to take part in!

I recommend using apps or websites to make the Twitter chat easier to follow. Here are a couple to try: or or Tweet Deck or Hootsuite to follow the hashtag chat. Of course you can just use twitter but sometimes the amount of #boardgamehour tweets can be challenging to keep up with.

Hope you can make it!
