Conventions & Travel

Later this week I will be traveling to the UK Games Expo. I love this convention and can't wait to get my Minister of Board Games costume on. I will be working during the day on stand J25 demoing Daring Dustbunnies with Hopwood Games during the days and playing as many games as possible during the evenings.

So you might have guessed that this week our topics will be Conventions and Travel Games.

If you are going to the UK Games Expo and see me, please say hi, I'm friendlier than I look.. This is me:

Hope you enjoy the board game twitter chat today :0)

Some of your Convention and Travel Games questions will include:

  • Where is the best place to get food at the conventions you attend?
  • Do you know about which games being released at conventions your attending before you go?
  • Do you enter competitions at games conventions? Why?
  • Do you lay any games while traveling (to a con for instance)? What works well?
  • Have you played any games that make you want to visit a location in the game?

If you fancy playing a game with me at the UK Games Expo please feel free to drop me a tweet  @BoardGameHour and I'll do my best to be available.

Come and join in our chat

#BoardGameHour is simply an hour long twitter chat all about board games (tabletop games). To join in all you have to do is be on twitter and add #BoardGameHour to your tweets so everyone can see what you are saying :0)

#BoardGameHour Start Time
Monday 11am PST - USA west coast time
Monday 2pm EST - USA east coast time
Monday 7pm GMT - UK time
Monday 8pm CET - Germany
Tuesday 3am AWST - Western Australia
Tue 5am AEST - Eastern Australia

Making it easier to take part in!

I generally used to use Nurph to host (providing its working) but every now and then it goes down and causes problems.

If this happens, I recommend using or or Tweet Deck or Hootsuite to follow the hashtag chat. Of course you can just use twitter but sometimes the amount of #boardgamehour tweets can be challenging to keep up with.

Hope you can make it!
