Miniatures games

Our next topic up for discussion on our weekly #BoardGameHour twitter chat is board games that contain miniatures. If you want to see a board game Kickstarter over-fund in a big way, look out for miniatures games. These little dolls are highly desirable within a part of the gaming world. I want to find out your opinions on them.
To finish of the Kickstarter dream package you add in zombies, so that is our side topic. Now I know some people will be put off my one or both of these topics, but please come along and tell us why. Have the discussion with an open mind and see what happens. You never know you might change the gaming landscape for a generation :0)

It could be a lively one this week!

Monday 1st Feb's #BoardGameHour questions are:

Q1: I'd define a miniature as "a small plastic toy used to represent something in a game". Agree?
Q2: Does a game having miniatures make you more or less likely to buy it? Why?
Q3: Do you paint miniatures? Do you have games with miniatures that are painted but un-played?
Q3: If a game with miniatures offered a less expensive standee/chit option would you buy it?
Q4: Are there any games that would not work with chits/standee instead of miniatures?
Q5: What game has your favourite miniatures in it?
Q6: What is your favourite game to play with miniatures in it?
Q7: What tips would you give to a publisher about making a game with miniatures?
Q8: Side Topic: Zombie games… Is the genre dying/dead?
Q9: What are the pros and coms of the Zombie genre?
Q10: Which is your favourite zombie game?
Q11: What tips would you give to someone wanting to make a zombie game?

Looking forward to another hour of board game chat with you :0)

So what is #Boardgamehour

#boardgamehour takes place on twitter once a week. It's a virtual hangout for people who either love board games or want to know more about the hobby.

So the big question is how does #boardgamehour work?

It's simple, to join in all you need to do is add the #boardgamehour hash-tag to your tweets, during the hour. To see what everyone else is saying just search for #boardgamehour!

Making #boardgamehour easier!

To make this live Twitter discussion easier, I have made a room on Nurph.com which we can all use. All you have to do is make sure you are logged into Twitter then go tohttp://nurph.com/BoardGameHour/chats and log in, using your Twitter account. You don't have to use this, everything will be the same as normal, but if you do us Nurph, it acts like a chat room for twitter and add the Hashtag automatically :0)
For one hour every week, it's time to talk nothing but board games. #boardgamehour happens across the western world Every Monday - start times are:

11am (L.A)
2pm (New York)
7pm (UK)
8pm (Germany)
